Uvalde – Abel “Kaliman” Aguilar, 66, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at his residence in Uvalde, Texas. Mr. Aguilar was born January 27, 1954 in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mx. to Fidencio Aguilar and Estela Olvera.
Mr. Aguilar is survived by his wife, Gilberta Vasquez, children, Cecilia Aguilar, Abel Aguilar Jr., Aracely (Juan Macias) Aguilar, Norma A. Aguilar, Fidencio (Yesenia Estrada) Aguilar, granddaughters, Anabel Ledesma, Sophia Macias, Hope Scarlett Aguilar, Rosa Mia Aguilar, siblings, Arnulfo Aguilar, Margarito Aguilar, Ernestina Casas, Maria Guadalupe Leija, Irma Moreno, Olga Moreno, Alicia Aguilar, and Estela Aguilar.
Visitation for Mr. Aguilar will be held Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday, June 26, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, Texas. Chapel service will be held Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, Texas. Interment will follow to Anahuac Cemetery in Edcouch, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, TX. Due to the updated COVID-19 mandates, we are allowing 75 individuals at a time.
