La Villa, Tx. – Mrs. Apolonia Nunez Elizondo, 95, entered into eternal rest to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 28, 2024 at her residence in La Villa, Texas surrounded by her loving daughters and family. Mrs. Apolonia Elizondo was born on February 09, 1929 to Felipe and Petra Nunez in Felipe Guanajuato, Mexico. Marciano and Apolonia were married for 57 years and are survived by four sons Hector (Melissa) Elizondo, Juan (Amanda) Elizondo, Marciano Jr. (Erica) Elizondo, Raúl (Raquel) Elizondo, six daughters Cristina (Juan) Rodríguez, Nelly (Dennis) King, Yolanda (Raúl) Ochoa, Olga (Salvador) Gonzalez, Adela Leal, Lilly (Lidia) Castro (Douglas) also survived by former daughter in law Maxine Elizondo. Apolonia has 21 grandchildren David Elizondo, Julie Ramos, Matthew and Luke Elizondo, Adam and Laura Rodríguez, Lillian Elizondo Cavazos, Raúl Ochoa, Jessica Cavazos, Salvador González Jr., Joey Escobar Gonzalez, Randall Holden, Alysha and Mario Leal Jr., Ashley and Bethany Elizondo, Andres, Eric, Samantha, Cassandra Elizondo, Alexandra, Noe, and Nikki Serna, and 21 great grandchildren. Apolonia is preceded in death by her husband Marciano Elizondo II , her son Jose Elizondo, son in laws; Cory Serna and Mario Leal. The Elizondo Family would like to invite all Apolonia’s Friends to her visitation that will begin on Friday March 1, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home, Elsa, Tx. Apolonia’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on March 2, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in La Villa, Texas. Cremation will immediately follow. The Elizondo Family would like to thank Greater Valley Hospice Staff/Nurses and The Texas Visiting Nurses for all their Compassion and support they Provided for our mother.
