Elsa, Tx – It is with deep sorrow and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Arnoldo Garcia, a devoted man of faith, integrity, and compassion, who passed away on May 31, 2025, at the age of 84.
Arnoldo was born in 1940 in La Blanca, Texas, to Guadalupe and Carlota Garcia. From a young age, he exemplified the values that would define his life: hard work, humility, and profound respect for all people. A true gentleman, Arnoldo treated everyone with dignity and kindness, no matter their circumstances.
Guided by his deep faith in God, Arnoldo lived a life of quiet strength and purpose. He was deeply committed to his family and led by example—living with honor, humility, and love. His legacy is one of grace, compassion, and unwavering belief in the goodness of people.
Arnoldo is survived by his loving children; Zina M. Guerra (Monica), Zelek García (Liana), Zedalin García (Budii), Zulia Marie Mercado (Baltazar), Zulema García, Zeke García Murton (Derek), Zachary Arnoldo García (Graciela), and Zebedee Juan García (María); 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and joy.
He is also survived by his siblings; Alonzo García, Angelica Vargas, Guadalupe García Jr., América Pena, Aurora Torres, Sylvia Vargas, Emma Sherock, Juan José García, Linda García, Esmeralda Pecina, and Israel García.
Arnoldo was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Tomasita O. Garcia; his son Video Garcia, siblings; Armando Garcia, Rocky Garcia, and Arnulfo Garcia.
Arnoldo Garcia’s memory will be cherished and carried forward by the many lives he touched. His quiet strength, humility, and love for others remain a lasting gift to all who knew him.
The Family of Mr. Arnoldo Garcia humbly invites family and friends to attend his visitation on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home in Elsa, Texas. Visitation will continue Friday, June 6, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. at Saint Teresa Catholic Church in Edcouch, Texas with Burial to follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Weslaco, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, TX.
