Beatriz (Cruz) Martinez

Elsa, Tx – It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Ms. Beatriz (Bea) Martinez, age 69, on April 9, 2026. Ms. Bea was born on July 6, 1956, to her beloved parents, Teodoro and Margarita Cruz in Elsa, Texas.

Bea was a devoted housewife and the proud mother of six children, who were the center of her life. Ms. Bea’s love extended deeply to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom she cherished beyond measure. Her family was her world, and she fought with great strength and courage to remain by their side for as long as she could.

She will be remembered as a loving and caring woman whose warmth touched everyone she met. Bea had a beautiful smile that could light up any room, bringing comfort, joy, and a sense of peace to those around her. Her gentle spirit, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family will leave a lasting impression on all who knew and loved her.

Ms. Beatriz Martinez was also a member of Las Palmas Daycare for more than 15 years. She loved to Play lotteria, dance and have fun with all her friends. Las Palmas daycare was Ms. Bea’s second family; she will be missed but not forgotten.

Ms. Martinez leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication that will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Ms. Beatriz Martinez is survived by her partner; Pedro Ramos, her loving children; Joe Martinez Jr. (Zuyey), Javier Martínez (Sara Hernández), Joanna Martínez (Antonio Galván), Janet Martínez, Jane Martínez, Eliazar (Eli) Rodriguez,  her brother; Alberto Cruz and 23 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; Teodoro and Margarita Cruz and a son; Teodoro Martinez.

Ms. Beatriz Martinez family would like to invite all of her friends and loved ones to attend her visitation on Monday, April 13, 2026 with viewing from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 at Eternal Light Funeral Home in Elsa, Texas. Ms. Beatriz Martinez will continue her viewing on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home in Elsa, Texas. Ms. Bea Martinez will have her Chapel Funeral Mass on April 15, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home with her burial to follow at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, Texas.
