La Villa, Tx. – Billie Jean Lopez entered into eternal rest on April 19, 2026. Billie Jean Lopez was born on July 3, 1953 to Tomas and Otila Cantu in Winnsboro, Louisiana.

Billie Jean is survived by her children: Rebecca Hope Espericueta, Rachel Rodriguez, Robert Enrique Lopez, her grandchildren; Reba Jean Depaz, Keanu Espericueta, Joseph Espericueta Jr., Robbie Sue Espericueta, Esau Rivera, Roel Flores Jr., Rebecca Rodriguez, Justine Lopez, Nayeli Jean Lopez, Noah Lopez, Isaiah Lopez, Christian Lee Lopez, Ryan Nicholas Lopez , Siblings:  Johnny Cantu, David Cantu, Elida Johnson, Eliva Ramirez, and Cristina Richards.  

Billie Jean is preceded in death by her parents; Tomas and Otila Cantu, her siblings: Mary Helen Cantu, Elia Setnicky, Eradido Cantu, Tomas Cantu Jr., Frank Cantu, and Roberto Cantu.

Visitation will be today, Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary service at 7:00 P.M. at Eternal Light Funeral Home in Elsa, Texas.  Funeral Service will be  at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026  at Santa Theresa of Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Edcouch, Texas.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, TX.
