Weslaco, Tx. – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Carlos Rene Cardona on December 9, 2024, who left us far too soon at the age of 60. Mr. Cardona was born on October 30, 1964 in Weslaco, Texas to Narciso Q. Cardona and Maria de la Paz Herrera. Carlos was a man who embraced life with open arms and an infectious energy that inspired all who knew him.
Mr. Carlos R. Cardona is survived by his mother Maria de la Paz Cardona, Salome Isabel Ghariani (Ahmed), Maribel Pena (Efrain), Cristina J. Soto (Jesus Antonio), and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Narciso Q. Cardona and brother Jesus Pablo Cardona.
Carlos was a beacon of positivity, lighting up every room with his laughter, stories, and zest for life. Though he didn’t have children of his own, he loved kids. Carlos for his family was a pillar of strength and unconditional love. To his friends, he was a source of boundless inspiration and unwavering support.
Though his time with us was brief, the memories he created and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
The Family of Carlos R. Cardona invites friends and family to celebrate his life with Mr. Carlos Cardona’s visitation on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 2:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Eternal Light Funeral Home located in Elsa, Texas. Mr. Cardona will be cremated at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, TX.
