Pharr– Catalina Galvan Rivas, 76, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020 at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen, Texas. Mrs. Galvan Rivas was born November 27, 1943 in Victoria, Tamaulipas to Tomas Rivas and Petra Tovar.     

Mrs. Galvan Rivas is survived by her loving children, Marta DeLeon, Generosa Benavidez, Regina Galvan, Matimosin Galvan, Cristina Galvan, Valentin Galvan, Alfredo Galvan, Ventura Galvan, 48 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, sister, Guadalupe Rivas, and brother, Santiago Rivas.

Viewing for Mrs. Galvan Rivas will be Monday, September 7, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a rosary at 5:30 p.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home 201 North Broadway in Elsa, Texas. Interment will follow on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch, Texas.

 Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, TX.
