Concepcion “Connie” Villanueva went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 31,2024 at her residence in Monte Alto, Texas. Concepcion Villanueva was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 8,1936 to Jose Maria Almaraz and Guadalupe Rivera Almaraz. Mrs. Connie Villanueva left peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones. Mrs. Villanueva was a beautiful mother of 10 children, loved all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a humble woman of faith and a lifetime member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Monte Alto. She loved her husband and entire family unconditionally until the end. She had a heart that was big enough to love everyone. “Mom” could do no wrong and was loved by all her family and community. Those who knew her knew that she loved ice cream/milk shakes and knew of her love for gardening just by seeing all her beautiful roses and plants in her yard. “Mom” has left a huge void on how we knew life to be.
Mrs. Concepcion Villanueva is survived by her children Estevan Villanueva, Arturo Villanueva (Virginia), Susan Longoria (Cesar), Mariano Villanueva Jr., Yolanda Villarreal (+Jose Luis), Vilma Villanueva Gregg (Steve), Connie Villanueva, Omar Villanueva, Ricky Villanueva (Elizabeth) and 22 grandchildren with numerous great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Maria Almaraz & Guadalupe Rivera Almaraz, her husband Mariano Villanueva Sr., her son Avelardo Villanueva, and great grandchild Sunny Emmarie Baldivia.
A special thanks to Lidia Ledezma and Rosalva Alvarado who are like family and were the only two caretakers of Connie and Mariano Villanueva through their elderly lives.
