Cruz Lopez

Monte Alto– Cruz Lopez went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 18, 2021 at the age of 92. Mr. Lopez was born on June 19, 1929 in Rio Grande City, Texas to Domingo Lopez and Cruz Garcia.

Mr. Lopez is survived by his loving Son, Johnny (Paola) Herrera as well as his grandchildren; Mateo Herrera, Caleb Herrera, Miranda Herrera, and Kassandra Herrera . He is also survived by his great granddaughter- Justina Rubio, a sister, Viviana Gonzalez as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Lopez is preceded in death by his mother, Cruz Garcia, his father Domingo Lopez, as well as his wife Maria Lopez.

Family will receive family and friends on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 pm at Eternal Light Funeral Home here in Elsa, Texas. Funeral Mass will be Friday, October 22, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church located at, 215 N. Couch St. in Hargill, Texas. Interment will follow to Valle de la Paz also in Hargill, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, Texas.
