San Carlos – David Olivarez Sr., 69, went to be with Lord Friday, July 10, 2020 at Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, Texas. Mr. Olivarez was born January 18, 1951 in San Carlos, Texas to Jesus Olivarez and Edelmira Nevarez.
Mr. Olivarez is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Elva Olivarez, children, David (Lourdes) Olivarez Jr., Elsa (Roberto) Rodriguez, Daniel (Velma) Olivarez, Davis Olivarez, Erica (Juan) Carcano, Juan Andres (Ronnie) Olivarez, Evangelina (Hector) De Leon, Taylean (Eduardo Martinez Jr.) Zuniga, 31 grandchildren, 23 great- grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Delia Olivarez, Virginia Ruiz, Elida O. Cuellar, Rosalinda Olivarez, Herlinda O. Corona, Yolanda Olivarez, Cristela O. Rangel, Susanna O. Garcia, Dalia Olivarez, Edwin Olivarez, and Juan Edwardo Olivarez. The pallbearers will be David Olivarez Jr., Daniel Olivarez, Davis Olivarez, Juan Andres Olivarez, Davis Olivarez Jr., and Roberto Rodriguez Jr.
Viewing for Mr. Olivarez will be Tuesday, July 14, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home 201 North Broadway in Elsa, Texas. Funeral mass will be Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg, Texas. Interment will follow to Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna, Texas.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, TX.
