Edinburg, Tx - It is with deep sorrow and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Dina Cruz, who left this world on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the age of 64 at Westover Hills Baptist Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.

Ms. Dina Cruz was a strong and loving woman, deeply rooted in her faith, who dedicated her life to caring for others. She had a beautiful spirit and a warm presence that made everyone feel comfortable, valued, and at ease. Her laughter was contagious, and her kindness left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Dina was the kind of person who put others before herself, always ready to lend a helping hand without judgment and with an open heart. Her generosity and compassion knew no bounds, and she was a constant source of support to family, friends, and even strangers.

Ms. Dina found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved cats, admired classic cars, and enjoyed music of all kinds. Her favorite color, purple, could often be seen in the things she cherished. She was drawn to the beauty of butterflies and rainbows, symbols that reflected her gentle and hopeful spirit. She also enjoyed taking pictures, capturing special moments, and treasured spending time with her family. Her thoughtful good morning messages and warm hugs were small but meaningful ways she showed her love each day. Ms. Dina was deeply rooted in her faith; In her Lord And Savior Jesus Christ.

Above all, Dina will be remembered for her truly kind heart and the love she so freely gave. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, faith, and unwavering love that will continue to live on in those she touched.

Ms. Dina Cruz is survived by her children; Eliseo Cruz (Guadalupe), Celestino Ollervidez Jr., her siblings; Genovi Ollervidez, Magdalena Cruz, Cristabal Lopez (Salome), Juan Cruz and her grandchildren; Celestino Cruz, Jesus Cruz, Jasmine Cruz, Adino Cruz and her beloved cat Shakira Cruz. Ms. Dina is preceded in death by; her parents; Magdaleno Cruz Jr. and Ana S. Cruz, her brothers; Eliseo Cruz, Adino Cruz, Elias Cruz, and her sisters; Dorem Cruz, Areli Cruz.

The Cruz family would like to invite everyone to Ms. Dina Cruz’s visitation on Friday, March 27, 2026 for the public from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. at Jesucristo El Sanador church in Edinburg, Texas Mrs. Dina Cruz will have her funeral mass on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Jesucristo El Sanador church in Edinburg, Texas with her burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. in Edinburg, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, TX.
