McAllen – Erik Guillermo Vela, 18, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at his home in McAllen, Texas. Mr. Vela was born on March 31, 2004 in Edinburg, Texas to Guillermo Vela and Erika De la Pena.

Mr. Erik Vela is survived by his loving Parents, Guillermo and Erika Vela, his siblings Guillermo Vela III Gael S. Vela, Diego A. Vela, his paternal grandparents Guillermo Vela, Maria E. Vela, his maternal grandparents Jose C. De La Pena and Maria G. De La Pena.

The Vela Family invite friends and family to attend visitation on Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a talk at 6:00 p.m. Mr. Erik Vela will also have visitation on Monday April 3, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with chapel service at 6:30 p.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home 201 North Broadway in Elsa, Texas.  Erik G. Vela will be cremated at a later date.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, TX.
