Mercedes, Tx – With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mrs. Esmeralda Rodriguez, age 73, who departed this life on September 5, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Esmeralda loved her children fiercely and unconditionally. She always striving to be a source of love, support, and guidance for her children. Esmeralda’s grandchildren were her greatest pride, and she cherished every moment spent with them—creating memories that will live on in their hearts forever.

Esmeralda will be remembered for her warm heart, beautiful smile, and the way she lit up a room with her laughter. Esmeralda’s absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but her love and legacy will continue to live through those who knew her best.

Esmeralda Rodriguez is survived by her children, Sarita Rodriguez (Gerardo Gonzalez), Evelyn Rodriguez, Ruth Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez, David Rodriguez, Raul Rodriguez, Eliseo Rodriguez, and a host of family and friends who loved her dearly. Esmeralda is proceeded in death by her loving husband David Rodriguez and her son Jose Rodriguez.

The Family of Mrs. Esmeralda Rodriguez humbly invites family and friends to attend her visitation on September 11, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home in Elsa, Texas. Visitation will continue September 12, 2025  from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 at Eternal Light Funeral Home. Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Park Cemetery in Mercedes, Texas.   Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, TX.
