Edcouch –It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Mrs. Hilda Gonzales on March 4, 2026. Mrs. Hilda Gonzales passed away surrounded by the love of her family leaving behind a lifetime of beautiful memories and a legacy of kindness. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose presence brought warmth and laughter to all who knew her.

For 48 wonderful years, Hilda shared a loving marriage with her husband, Jimmy Gonzales. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and strong family values.

Hilda was the proud and loving mother of four children, a role she cherished deeply. Being a mother and later a grandmother brought her immense joy, and she dedicated her life to caring for and supporting her family. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Known for her kind heart and playful sense of humor, Hilda had a special way of making people smile. She was a natural jokester who could lighten any room with laughter. Her warmth, compassion, and loving spirit touched the lives of many.

Hilda will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, her gentle kindness, and the joy she brought into the lives of others. Her love and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Hilda Gonzales is survived by her beloved husband Jimmy Gonzales, her four loving children: Lonnie Gonzales (Sylvia), Carlos Gonzles (Mary), Velma Mengoza (Robert), Belinda Gonzales (Geroge), her 16 grandchildren, siblings; Eloy Segura, Simon Segura, Ida Segura, Nelda Segura, and many other relatives who will miss her dearly. Mrs. Hilda Gonzales is preceded is death by her parents Guadalupe and Maria Socorro Segura, brothers; Guadlupe Segura, Antonio Segura, Noel Segura and a sister Nora Ruiz.

Mrs. Hilda Gonzales family would like to invite all of her friends and loved ones to attend her visitation on Sunday, March 8, 2026 with viewing from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 at Eternal Light Funeral Home in Elsa, Texas. Mrs. Hilda Gonzales will continue her viewing on Monday, March 9, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home in Elsa, Texas. Mrs. Hilda Gonzales will have her funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Teresa Catholic church in Edcouch, Texas with burial to follow at Texas State Veteran Cemetery.

Her family finds comfort in knowing that the love she gave so freely will continue to guide them and remain in their hearts forever.
