Elsa, Tx. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jaime M. Garcia on November 18, 2024 at the age of 83. Mr. Garcia was born in Linares, Nuevo Leon Mexico on August 23, 1941 to Salvador and Guadalupe Garcia. Mr. Jaime M. Garcia was a beloved father and man of unwavering faith.
In his early years, he was a talented athlete and artist, spending countless hours developing his athletic skills and creative talents. He experienced great success as a result of his dedication.
As a young man, he began his career as a skilled carpenter and cabinet maker. He was percise with his craft which he did with care and perfection. He developed an excellent reputation as a master carpenter however, when the economy shifted in the 1980’s, Jaime M. Garcia courageously transitioned to a new path as a truck driver, a profession he learned to love. He embraced the open road with enthusiasm and dedication providing for his family and inspiring them with his work ethic and strength.
Above all, Jaime M. Garcia was a devoted father to his eight children, who were his greatest source of pride and joy. His faith guided him through life, and his constant happiness was endearing and source of joy for everyone around him.
Mr. Jaime M. Garcia is survived by his children, Ofelia Griffith (Paul), Nancy Sanchez (David), Linda Enriquez (Noe), Cindy Taylor (Sergio Torres), Jaime Garcia Jr. (Lisa), Michael García (Sylvia), Crystal Salazar (Larry), Cristy García, his siblings; Candelario García, Irma Solís, David García, Armando García, Leticia Martínez, and Margarito Estrada along with 32 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Mr. Jaime M. Garcia is preceded in death by his Parents; Salvador and Guadalupe Garcia, His loving wife; Enedina T. Garcia, his sister; Ofelia Garcia and brother Salvador Garcia Jr.
Rest in peace, Mr. Jaime M. Garcia. Your legacy of love, laughter, and faith will live on in all who knew you and the countless friends whose lives you touched.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Mr. Jaime M. Garcia’s life on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Eternal Light Funeral Home, Elsa, Texas from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mr. Jaime M. Garcia will also have visitation on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with his funeral mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, Texas.
