Progreso –Jessica Escalantes, 39, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Sunday, June 7, 2020 at her residence in Progreso, Texas. Jessica was born September 16, 1980 in Weslaco, Texas to Guadalupe Luna and Lourdes Garcia.

Jessica is survived by her loving husband, Christopher Hernandez, children, Jimmy Edwards Escalantes, Evelin Hernandez, Diego Luna, father, Guadalupe Luna, mother, Lourdes Luna, siblings, Alejandra Arvizu, Maria Guadalupe Luna, and Jose Gerardo Luna.

Viewing for Jessica will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, Texas. Jessica will be cremated at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, TX. Due to the updated COVID-19 mandates, we are allowing 75 individuals at a time.
