Elsa Tx- It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ms. Josefina Ruiz, on June 1, 2026. Josefina was born in Elsa, Texas to Julian and Eloisa Ruiz.
Josefina was a devoted sister, a cherished aunt, and a beloved friend whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and love to all who knew her.
Though she never married, her heart was filled with love for her family, especially her nieces and nephews, whom she loved as if they were her own children. She took great pride in being a part of their lives and created countless memories that they will treasure forever.
Josefina enjoyed life's simple pleasures. She loved cooking delicious meals for her family and spending time shopping for things that brought her joy. Known for her impeccable appearance, Josefina never left home without her makeup, always carrying herself with confidence and grace. She also enjoyed staying connected with family and friends through Facebook and TikTok, where she spent many hours keeping up with loved ones and sharing in life's everyday moments.
Josefina's kind spirit, loving heart, and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched with her generosity, affection, and genuine care for others.
While her absence leaves a profound void, her family finds comfort in the beautiful memories she leaves behind and the love she shared so freely throughout her life.
Josefina Ruiz is survived by her Siblings: Refugia García (José Luis), Margarita Escalon (Juan Manuel), Enedina Pate (Armando), David Ruiz (Sandy), Daniel Ruz (Estela), Alicia Morales (Antonio), Ricardo Ruiz and many nieces and nephews. Josefina is preceded in death by her parents: Julian and Eloisa Ruiz, Siblings: Guadalupe Ruiz, Juanita Gonzalez, Julian Ruiz Jr., Ninfa Rodriguez, and Gilberto Ruiz.
The family of Ms. Josefina Ruiz would like to invite all her family and friends to her celebrate her life with visitation on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayers service at 7:00 p.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home in Elsa, Texas. Josefina’s visitation will continue on Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Ms. Ruiz will have a Chapel Service at 1:00 p.m. with her burial to follow at Anahuac Community Cemetery in Edcouch, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Eternal Light Funeral Home in Elsa, Texas.
