Elsa – Julia Hernandez, 81, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Rio Grande Regional in McAllen, Texas. Mrs. Hernandez was born January 14, 1939 in Weslaco, Texas to Tomas Garza and Maria Caballero. She is preceded in death by her husband, Isidro Hernandez, daugther, Maria Zamora, siblings,  Gonzalo Garza, Gilberto Garza, Elvira Garza, Ladislado Garza, and Irmalinda Lopez.   

Mrs. Hernandez is survived by her loving children, Julia Valdez, Marta Hernandez, Javier Hernandez, Tomas Hernandez, 12 grandchildren, siblings, Ascension Garza, Juan Garza, Pedro Garza, Yolanda Garza, Oralia Luna,  and Carmen Hernandez

Viewing for Mrs. Hernandez will be Friday, October 2, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a rosary at 5:30 p.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home 201 North Broadway in Elsa, Texas. Interment will follow on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco, Texas.

 Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, TX.
