Edinburg – Luz Baez, 98, went to be with Lord Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Edinburg Regional Hospital in Edinburg, Texas. Mrs. Baez was born on April 17, 1924 in Donna, Texas to Rafael Acosta and Beatriz Chavez.
Mrs. Luz Baez is survived by her loving children, Mario Flores, Maria Elena Rios, Ramon Garza Jr. (Rosalinda), Rafael A. Garza (Yolanda), Rolando Garza (Gloria), Emilia Gutierrez (Joel), Guadalupe Garza, Josefina Garza (Beto Hinojosa), Roberto Garza (Margaret), Ricardo Garza (Mary), along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Baez is proceeded in death by her husband Ramon Garza, her sons Jose Duval Flores, Rogelio Garza, Ramiro Garza and a daughter Elizabeth Handy.
Family will receive family and friends on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer service at 6:00pm at Eternal Light Funeral Home 201 North Broadway in Elsa, Texas. Mrs. Baez will be cremated at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, TX.
