Monte Alto, Tx. – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Maria De Jesus Rodriguez, who departed this life on March 23, 2025 at the beautiful age of 87.

A devoted housewife and the proud mother of nine children, Maria dedicated her life to her family. She built a home filled with love, warmth, and laughter. Her days were spent nurturing her children, creating delicious meals from scratch, and instilling in her family the values of kindness, strength, and faith.

She was not only a loving mother but also a cherished grandmother, whose gentle presence and warm hugs brought comfort and joy to her many grandchildren. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the family she raised with grace and unwavering dedication.

Maria De Jesus Rodriguez will be remembered for her boundless love, her quiet strength, and her deep commitment to family. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Mrs. María De Jesús Rodríguez is survived by her children, Margarito Rodríguez (Beatrice), Artemio Rodríguez (Priscilla), José Luis Rodríguez (Lucy), David Rodríguez (Sylvia), Maribel Rodríguez (Justo), Isidro Rodríguez Jr., María Elena Rodríguez (Manuel), Blanca Sánchez (Javier), Leticia Tamez (Librado) as well as her 34 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her Husband Isidro Rodriguez.

Visitation service will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., for Immediate Family then 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. for the public at Eternal Light Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Maria De Jesus Rodriguez will have visitation also on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. with a Chapel Service to start at 12:00 p.m.at Eternal Light Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Val Verde Cemetery in Donna, Texas.

Maria De Jesus Rodriguez will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
