Maria Guadalupe Gomez

Edinburg – Maria Guadalupe Gomez, 69, went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 3, 2021 at her residence in Edinburg, Texas.  Mrs. Gomez was born on December 1, 1951 in Zacatecas, Mexico to Ladislao Gomez and Baudelia Galvez. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Gilberto Capetillo, and son; Rene Capetillo.

Mrs. Gomez is survived by her loving children; Ludivina Gomez, Maria Antonia Capetillo, Mariza Capetillo Gomez, Cesar Capetillo, Alejandro Capetillo, Heliberto Capetillo, Julia Capetillo, Noe Capetillo, siblings; Maria Clava Gomez Galvez, Maria Victoria Gomez Galvez, Emilia Gomez Galvez, Sacramento Gomez Galvez, 22 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Family will receive family and friends on Sunday, June 6, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:30 pm at Eternal Light Funeral Home 201 North Broadway in Elsa, Texas.  Chapel service will be on Monday, June  7, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home in Elsa, Texas. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna, TX. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, Texas.
