Maria G. Peña

Edcouch, Texas – Maria G. Peña, 59, passed away peacefully surrounded her family Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Amara Hospice in Edinburg, Texas. Mrs. Peña was born March 23, 1960 in Elsa, Texas to Leonardo Galvan and Felicitas Telles. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Anastacio Galvan. 

Mrs. Peña is survived by her loving children, Carlos Juan Peña, Jessica Garza Peña, Ruben Espinoza Jr., Rubina Lee Peña, Jazzmine Marie Gonzalez, Joshua Michael Caballero, Heather Lynnete Gonzalez, 25 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, siblings, Cecilia Galvan, Adelita Galvan, Leonardo Galvan Jr., Felicitas Galvan, Jose Galvan, Rosa Maria Padilla, and Domingo Galvan.

Viewing for Mrs. Peña will be held on Monday, December 16, 2019 from 10 am to 9 pm with a rosary at 7 pm at Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, Texas.  Funeral mass will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 10 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa, Texas. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, TX.
