Maria C. (Jaramillo) Rivera

With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Maria C. Rivera (Jaramillo), who went home to be with the Lord at the age of 90.

Mrs. Maria C. Rivera was born on August 7, 1934 to Abundio and Maxima Jaramillo in San Luis Potosi, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Maria devoted her life to caring for her family and honoring God in all that she did. A proud housewife, she found great joy in her home—cooking delicious meals that brought everyone to the table, keeping her house full of warmth and love, and filling each room with the sound of her voice as she sang her favorite church hymns.

Her faith was unshakable and her spirit strong. A true woman of God, Maria lived each day guided by prayer, scripture, and deep love for her Savior. She was a quiet but powerful example of devotion, patience, and grace.

Mrs. Maria Rivera loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren fiercely and unconditionally. Family was her heart, and nothing made her happier than to have everyone under one roof, sharing food, laughter, and faith.

Maria leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion. Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing she is at peace, singing with the angels.

Maria is survived by her children: Noemi Faz (+Jose Faz), Noe Rivera (Norma), David Rivera, Josefina Nieto (Rafael), Jose Enrique Rivera, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Maria C. Rivera is preceded in death by her loving husband: Ignacio Rivera, her parents: Abundio and Maxima Jaramillo, son: Juan Angel Rivera, daughter: Yolanda Salaiz, son: Ruben Rivera, grandson: Edgar Noel Rivera and Rafael Nieto Jr.

Services will be held on July 4, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Chapel Service from 7:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home. Maria C. Rivera will have visitation on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. with us departing to Highland Memorial Cemetery in Weslaco, Texas at 10:30 for her burial. Funeral arraignments have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, Texas.

Con el corazón lleno de amor y gratitud por una vida bien vivida, anunciamos el fallecimiento de la Sra. María C. Rivera (Jaramillo), quien se fue a casa para estar con el Señor a la edad de 90 años.

La Sra. María C. Rivera nació el 7 de agosto de 1934 en San Luis Potosí, México.

Sra. María dedicó su vida a cuidar de su familia y a honrar a Dios en todo lo que hacía. Como orgullosa ama de casa, encontraba una gran alegría en su hogar: cocinaba comidas deliciosas que atraían a todos a la mesa, mantenía su casa llena de calidez y amor, y llenaba cada habitación con el sonido de su voz mientras cantaba sus himnos favoritos de la iglesia.

Su fe era inquebrantable y su espíritu fuerte. Una verdadera mujer de Dios, Sra. María vivió cada día guiada por la oración, las Escrituras y un profundo amor por su Salvador. Era un ejemplo silencioso pero poderoso de devoción, paciencia y gracia.

La Sra. María Rivera amaba a sus hijos, nietos y bisnietos feroz e incondicionalmente. La familia era su corazón, y nada la hacía más feliz que tener a todos bajo un mismo techo, compartiendo comida, risas y fe.

Sra. María deja tras de sí un legado de amor, fuerza y devoción. Aunque nuestros corazones están apesadumbrados, nos regocijamos al saber que ella está en paz, cantando con los ángeles.

A Sra. María le sobreviven sus hijos: Noemí Faz (+José Faz), Noé Rivera (Norma), David Rivera, Josefina Nieto (Rafael), José Enrique Rivera, numerosos nietos y bisnietos. A Sra. María C. Rivera le preceden en la muerte su amado esposo: Ignacio Rivera, sus padres: Abundio y Máxima Jaramillo, hijo: Juan Ángel Rivera, hija: Yolanda Salaiz, hijo: Rubén Rivera, nieto: Edgar Noel Rivera y Rafael Nieto Jr.

Los servicios se llevarán a cabo el 4 de julio de 2025 de 5:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m. con un servicio de capilla de 7:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m. en la funeraria Eternal Light. Sra. María C. Rivera tendrá visitación el sábado 5 de julio de 2025 a las 9:00 a.m. y partiremos hacia el Cementerio Highland Memorial en Weslaco, Texas a las 10:30 para su entierro. Las comparecencias fúnebres han sido confiadas al cuidado de la Funeraria Eternal Light de Elsa, Texas.
