Elsa, Tx. – Mrs. Marta (Vela) Davila went to be with Lord Wednesday, March 27 2024.  Mrs. Davila was born on November 5, 1940 in Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Panfilo Vela and Santos Garza. Marta Davila is survived by her loving children Noe Davila, Yolanda Davila (Manuel Boffill), Jose G. Davila (Maggie), Teresa D. Tamez (Raul Tamez Jr), 13 grandchildren and 5 Great grandchildren. Mrs. Marta Davila is also survived by her siblings Enrique Vela, Fidencio Vela, Jose Vela, Roy Vela, Jesus Vela, Panfilo Vela Jr. Margarita Morales Juanita Vela and Guadalupe Aguilar. Mrs. Davila is proceeded in death by her husband Guadalupe Davila, her brother Juan Francisco Vela, and her sister Simona Hernandez.

The Family of Marta Davila (Vela) invites friends and family to attend her visitation on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home in Elsa, Texas. Visitation will continue on Sunday March 31, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass is on Monday April 1, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elsa, Texas with interment to follow at Val Verde Memorial Cemetery in Donna, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, TX.
