Micaela Mendiola

Weslaco– Micaela Mendiola, 84, went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, Texas.  Mrs. Mendiola was born on May 2, 1937 in La Grulla, Texas to Pablo Lopez and Lina Fuentes. She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Juan Mendiola Jr., siblings, Severo Lopez, Petra Sanchez, Francisco Lopez, Hilaria Flores, Victoria Cortez, Cuauhtemoc Lopez, and Angelita Cortez.

Mrs. Mendiola is survived by her loving husband, Juan Mendiola, children, Mario (Cynthia) Mendiola, Moises Mendiola, Dagoberto Mendiola, Rene (Rosie) Mendiola, Eligio (Raquel) Mendiola, Graciela (Oziel Madrigal) Mendiola, Esmeralda (Juan) Salinas, Jaime (+ Marisela) Mendiola, Elias (Sandra) Galvan, 25 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and sister, Margarita Molina.

Family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Casa Del Alfarero 10803 N. Mile 4 West Weslaco, Texas. Chapel service will be on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Casa Del Alfarero 10803 N. Mile 4 West Weslaco, Texas. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, Texas.
