Nora Montalvo

Nora Montalvo, age 74, of Elsa, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025. She was born on August 16, 1951 in Edcouch, Texas to the late Manuel Montalvo+ and Eva Garcia+, raised by Maria De Jesus Montalvo.

Nora lived a simple yet joyful life surrounded by family, music, and love. She had a beautiful spirit and a passion for singing—her voice often filling a room with happiness. A devoted fan of Selena, she loved listening to her songs and often sang along with heart and pride. She also had a fondness for jewelry and was rarely seen without her favorite pieces that reflected her vibrant personality.

Though she never married, Nora found joy in the closeness of her family and the beauty of everyday life. Her kind heart, warm smile, and love for music will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving mother, Maria De Jesus Montalvo who raised Nora, and her seven siblings Cindy Garcia, Myrtha Montalvo (Timo Escalante), Robert Montalvo (Duby), Joel Montalvo, Omar Montalvo, Oscar Montalvo (Liza), and Dora Jimenez (Ben James Garcia). She was preceded in death by her father Manuel Montalvo, her birth mother Eva Garcia, sisters; Dora Elia Mena, Evelyn Sanchez and brother Manuel Montalvo.

Funeral services will be held at Eternal Light Funeral Home in Elsa, Texas on Thursday, October 23, 2025. Ms. Montalvo will be cremated and Funeral service will be on Monday, October 27, 2025 in La Blanca Cemetery, in La Blanca, Texas Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life and the joy she brought to so many.
