Norma (Garcia) Ortiz

Edinburg– Norma Ortiz went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at the age of 64. Mrs. Ortiz was born on October 07, 1957 in Edinburg, Texas to Jose Garcia and Florencia Infante.

Mrs. Ortiz is survived by her loving children; Veronica Trevino (Roberto), Esmeralda Cantu (Jose), Carlos Ortiz Jr. (Yessica), Jose Angel Ortiz (Vanessa), and Alexander Ortiz. She is also survived by her siblings- Paz Dominguez, Maria Luisa Ontiveros, Felipe Garcia, and Enrique Garcia as well as 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband, Carlos Ortiz, as well as her brother, Raul Garcia and sister, Magdalena Garcia.

Family will receive family and friends on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home here in Elsa, Texas. A funeral mass will follow on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church of Edinburg, Texas. Interment will follow to Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, Texas.
