La Villa, Tx. – It is with a profound sadness and with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Octaviano Rangel, 85, “Tavo” as he was known. Tavo was born on 3/22/1938 in Edcouch, Texas and passed away on 4/19/2023 in San Carlos, Texas at one of his daughters’ homes.
He is preceded in death by his Wife Geronima M. Rangel, his parents Jose & Basilia Rangel, Son- in – Law Javier Solis and Grand- Daughter Rebecca Solis.
He is survived by his Four Daughters, Two Sons: Bacilia Solis (Saul), Esmeralda Rangel- Anthony (Lloyd), Minerva Solis (+Javier), Melissa Vega (Felix) Octaviano Rangel Jr. (Lisa) and Jose (Joe) Rangel.
Eighteen Grandchildren, Nineteen Greatgrandchildren and two Step-grandsons.
Visitation will be on Friday April 21, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home in Elsa, Texas. Mr. Rangel will be having a Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Edcouch, Texas with interment to follow at Sebastian Guadalupe Cemetery in Sebastian, Texas.
The Family Would Like to give a special thank you to the staff at Selah Hospice Care Alicia, Xochitl, Desiree, Nancy and everyone else that helped with the care of our father. Your love and Care for him made it easier on us knowing that he was in good hands till the end.
