Pedro Carriaga

Edinburg, Tx. – It is with a deep love and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Pedro Carriaga, who left this world at the age of 48.  Pedro was born in Edinburg, Texas, to Manuel Carriaga and Rafaela Villarreal. Pedro lived a life filled with joy, kindness, and boundless spirit. He touched everyone who knew him with his light, laughter, and unconditional love.

Pedro was full of life—his smile could brighten even the darkest day. He had a deep love for music and was often found humming his favorite tunes or swaying to a beat only he could hear. One of his greatest joys was coloring, spending hours creating bright, beautiful pictures that reflected the vibrant world he saw around him.

He had an infectious personality, a pure heart, and a knack for making others feel seen and loved. His presence brought warmth and happiness wherever he went. Whether through a hug, a laugh, or simply sitting quietly by your side, Pedro reminded us all of what truly matters—love, joy, and being present in the moment.

He is survived by his loving Parents Manuel and Rafaela Carriaga, Siblings; Manuel Carriaga Jr. Martin Carriaga (Maria), Rosalinda Reyes (Carmelo), Maria Luisa Cardenas (Eloy), Margarita Frantz (Harold), Gloria Becerra (Esequiel), Francisco Carriaga (Laura), numerous nieces, nephews, as well as many friends and caregivers who were blessed to be part of his world.

A celebration of Pedro Carriaga’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Eternal Light Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mr. Pedro Carriaga will have his funeral mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Valla de la Paz Cemetery in Hargil, Texas.  

Though he may no longer walk beside us, Pedro’s light will forever shine in our hearts.
