Rafaela Garcia

Edcouch – Rafaela Garcia, 74, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 12, 2020 at DHR Health Hospice in Edinburg, Texas. Mrs. Garcia was born October 24, 1945 in  Tamasopo, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Jorge Martinez and Eudocia Castillo. Mrs. Garcia is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Socorro Garcia, and son, Rigoberto Garcia.

Mrs. Garcia is survived by her loving children, Francisco (Patricia) Garcia, Carmen (Juan) Gonzalez, Feliciano (Janette) Garcia, Enrique (Olga) Garcia, Carolina (Alberto) Vazquez, Andres (Claudia) Garcia, Sandra (Faustino) Regalado, Guadalupe (Aide) Garcia, 36 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and her siblings, Juan Martinez, Victor Martinez, Porfirio Martinez, Catalina Martinez, and Margarito Martinez.

Viewing for Mrs. Garcia will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 10 am to 9 pm with a service at 7 pm at Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, Texas.  Viewing will continue Friday, February 14, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Cremation services will follow at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, TX.
