Edcouch, Tx. – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raul Rivas, who left us far too soon at the age of 52. Mr. Rivas was born on September 5, 1972 in Weslaco, Texas to Guadalupe Rivas and Noemi Ramirez. Raul was a man who embraced life with open arms and an infectious energy that inspired all who knew him.
Mr. Raul Rivas was a man of many passions, his biggest passion were his children; Marlene Rivas, Raul Rivas, Cody Rivas, Nylenne Rivas. He is survived by his children, his siblings; Susana Acosta, Mercedes Rivas, Reynaldo Rivas, Maricela Atwater, Jessica Rivas and 5 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents Guadalupe and Noemi Rivas, A son AJ Rangel, a sister; Esmeralda Rivas and a brother Donicio Ramirez. Raul a gifted artist whose drawings spoke volumes, a music enthusiast who found rhythm in every moment, and a dancer who turned life itself into a celebration.
Raul Rivas was a beacon of positivity, lighting up every room with his laughter, stories, and zest for life. To his family, he was a pillar of strength and unconditional love. To his friends, he was a source of boundless inspiration and unwavering support.
Though his time with us was brief, the memories he created and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
The Family of Raul Rivas invites friends and family to celebrate his life with Mr. Rivas visitation on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home located in Elsa, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, TX.
