Edcouch, Tx. – Refugio Gonzalez, 70, went to be with the Lord Monday, December 28, 2020 at his residence in Edcouch, Tx. Mr. Gonzalez was born November 5, 1950 in Britt, Iowa to Hermenegildo Gonzalez and Esther Ramirez. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother David Gonzalez, niece Leticia Rivera and nephew Alberto Gonzalez. Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his wife, Flor Estela Gonzalez, children Esmeralda (Mario) Cruz, Perla (Albert) Vasquez, Eduardo (Graciela) Gonzalez, Veronica (Luis) Macias, Nancy Gonzalez (Luis Sifuentes), Oscar (Erica) Gonzalez, 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, siblings, Sara Hernandez, Lydia Rivera, Ethel Owen and Noemi Olazaran

Viewing for Mr. Gonzalez will be Thursday, December 31, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a service at 5:00 p.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home 201 North Broadway in Elsa, Texas. Mr. Gonzalez will be cremated at a later date.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, TX.
