Progreso, Tx – With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mr. Rolando Martinez, age 58, who departed this life on August 15, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Rolando Martinez was born in Progreso, Texas to Fortunato and Consulo Martinez in June 28, 1967.
Rolando Martinez was a man whose soul was moved by music—his days often filled with rhythm and sound that reflected his vibrant spirit. He loved driving down the street with his music blasting. Rolando loved to have a good time, drinking and hanging with his friends. Those who knew him will surlily miss his presence.
Rolands deepest passion was his family. He loved his kids, grandchildren, and nephews fiercely, with unconditional love and guidance. His family was his greatest pride, and he cherished every moment spent with them—creating memories that will live on in their hearts forever.
Rolando Martinez is survived by his father: Fortunato Martinez, his beloved children, Rolando Martinez Jr., Rolando Martinez Jr. (Jessica), his devoted siblings; Maria Isabel Martinez, Elvira Martinez, Alicia Martinez, Sandra Martinez, Bertha Martinez, Juana Martinez and a host of family and friends who loved him dearly.
The Family of Mr. Rolando Martinez humbly invites family and friends to attend his visitation on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 2:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home in Elsa, Texas. Visitation will continue Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. at Eternal Light Funeral Home in Elsa, Texas with Burial to follow at Toluca Cemetery in Progreso, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Eternal Light Funeral Home of Elsa, TX.
