Rosario (Plata) Rivera

Edinburg – It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mrs. Rosario Rivera on March 31, 2025 at her residence in Edinburg, Texas. Mrs. Rosario Rivera was born in Montemorelos, Mexico to Ramon Plata and Ma Del Rosario Palau on October 11, 1948.

Mrs. Rosario Rivera was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend to all that had the privilege to know her.  Mrs. Rivera was a teacher in Mexio and loved helping her students learn and become successful. She eventually moved her children to the United States, hoping to make a better life for her family. Mrs. Rosario worked hard to provide for her family and taught them the value of hard work.

Rosario Rivera is survived by her loving children, Reynaldo Rivera, Fabian Rivera, and Lisseth Rivera. Rosario is preceded in death by her parents; Ramon and Ma Del Rosario Rivera.

Mrs. Rosario Rivera will be transferred to the Panteon Municipal en Montemorelos, Mexico for her services at a later date.

Edinburg – Con gran pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de la Sra. Rosario Rivera el 31 de marzo de 2025 en su residencia en Edinburg, Texas. La Sra. Rosario Rivera nació en Montemorelos, México, hija de Ramón Plata y Ma Del Rosario Palau, el 11 de octubre de 1948.

La Sra. Rosario Rivera fue una querida madre, abuela y amiga de todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla. La Sra. Rivera era maestra en Mexico y le encantaba ayudar a sus estudiantes a aprender y tener éxito. Finalmente se mudó con sus hijos a los Estados Unidos, con la esperanza de hacer una vida mejor para su familia. La Sra. Rosario trabajó arduamente para mantener a su familia y les enseñó el valor del trabajo duro. A Rosario Rivera le sobreviven sus amados hijos, Reynaldo Rivera, Fabián Rivera y Lisseth Rivera. Rosario es precedida en la muerte por sus padres; Ramón y Ma del Rosario Plata.

 La Sra. Rosario Rivera será trasladada al Panteón Municipal en Montemorelos, México para sus servicios en una fecha posterior.
